L’Oréal Beauty Tech Atelier: Here’s How To Enter

Calling all beauty-tech disruptors: if your startup has the power to transform how people shop, use or interact with beauty products, L’Oréal wants to hear from you. And no, you don’t need to be Paris-based, just ready to scale and sparkle.

The Beauty Tech Atelier is L’Oréal’s global innovation accelerator programme, designed for early-stage startups at the intersection of beauty and tech. The goal? To co-create the future of beauty with the brains behind tomorrow’s most game-changing digital experiences.

“At L’Oréal, we believe that new tech and innovative business models are going to profoundly change the beauty consumer experience for the better,” the company explains. “We want to lead this change and co-create the future of beauty with the creative talents and entrepreneurs of tomorrow who have the ability to transform the way beauty brands interact with consumers.”

Since 2018, the Atelier has supported 98 startups, 52% of which are international and 54% female-founded – a welcome stat in an industry that thrives on both diversity and fresh thinking. A further 23% are building impact-driven solutions, tackling sustainability and inclusivity head-on.

Startups accepted into the programme gain exposure to 35+ global L’Oréal brands and strategic mentorship from innovation experts. Whether you’re developing personalised skincare diagnostics, AI-powered makeup tools or futuristic beauty retail platforms, this is your chance to scale with serious industry backing.

Each semester, up to 10 high-potential startups are selected. You’ll get access to Station F – the world’s largest startup campus – and a dream package that includes office space, Wi-Fi (obviously), legal and VC advice, private networking events, and a front-row seat to the global beauty industry.

Prefer to stay remote? No problem – the Atelier also offers a hybrid format for those based outside of Paris.

And the benefits don’t stop at mentorship. The programme supports global acceleration across L’Oréal’s markets, opening doors to new commercial partnerships, media visibility, and potential expansion through regional chapters like SAPMENA’s Big Bang Beauty Tech Innovation Programme.

So, who’s it for? Tech and digital startups working on tools, platforms, or services that rethink how beauty is bought, experienced or created. Ideally, you’ll already have a successful proof of concept or pilot with a L’Oréal brand, but they’re open to fresh ideas too.
