Why PFAS-Free Matters

PFAS – short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances – are known as “forever chemicals” because they simply don’t go away. Not in the environment, not in the body, not in future generations. They linger in water, soil, food chains and, disturbingly, in some of the leggings worn during your 7am pilates class.

Research has linked PFAS exposure to kidney and testicular cancers, immune system suppression, liver damage, metabolic dysfunction, thyroid disorders and reproductive issues (1–5). As wellness culture becomes more data-driven and tech-aware, consumers are asking deeper questions: What’s actually in my clothing? What am I absorbing? And why does activewear need industrial chemicals to function?
