The glam tech boom just hit the trading floor. The Beauty Tech Group — the company behind the celeb-approved CurrentBody LED masks — is prepping for a £350 million IPO that could give London’s sluggish stock exchange the glow-up it’s been waiting for.
Sky News reports that the Manchester-based beauty powerhouse has tapped Berenberg to steer its flotation on the main London market, with plans to go public later this year. The Group, which also owns ZIIP Beauty and Tria Laser (snapped up in 2023 and 2024 respectively), is eyeing a listing that reflects its rapid rise in the global beauty tech space.

The brains behind the brand? CEO and co-founder Laurence Newman, alongside CTO Andrew Showman and finance chief Sam Glynn. Together, they’ve built a company that’s gone from niche to major, offering at-home beauty tools using LED, microcurrent, radiofrequency and laser tech — treatments usually found in high-end clinics.
And it’s paying off. 2024 was a banner year, with revenues crossing the £100 million mark — a big leap from £80 million in 2023. Around 77% of those sales came from international markets, reflecting the global thirst for clinic-grade beauty from the comfort of your bathroom mirror.
“We delivered revenue of over £100m and successfully acquired Tria Laser while also completing the integration of ZIIP Beauty,” said Newman in a statement to Sky News. “These acquisitions have diversified and increased the Group’s product offering across the rapidly growing beauty tech market and, in line with our strategic ambitions, the Group is now focused exclusively on own-brand products.”

The announcement comes as London’s stock exchange tries to reclaim its sparkle. With a slew of companies opting for US listings and the UK market seeing more takeovers than debuts, The Beauty Tech Group’s decision to float in London could signal a much-needed boost in confidence.
Industry projections from PwC back up the buzz. The beauty tech market, valued at £2.7 billion in 2023, is forecast to grow by up to 17% annually through 2026. With growing consumer demand for high-performance tools that tackle everything from anti-ageing to hair regrowth, the market’s showing no signs of slowing.

CurrentBody’s LED face mask, a cult favourite endorsed by Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams, is sold in Harrods and on 20+ direct-to-consumer sites globally. The company also recently teamed up with Manchester University’s dermatology department to explore next-gen beauty solutions.
“As increasing international demand and the Group’s operational infrastructure provide foundations for the next stage of its global growth, the Group is considering its strategic options, which includes a London IPO later this year,” Newman added.
From sheet masks to stock markets — beauty tech just got serious.
