The Modems Hosts Sold-Out Tech Talk: ‘Biohacking Beauty’ At Hotel Café Royal

London, UK – The Modems, the UK’s leading female-focused tech news platform, hosted its second ‘Tech Talk’ at the iconic Hotel Café Royal on Wednesday 14 January 2026. Part of The Modems ongoing live events series, ‘Biohacking Beauty’ examined how technology, science and culture are reshaping women’s health and longevity.

The evening featured a keynote presentation by longevity expert Dr. Alka Patel, followed by an in-depth conversation with world-renowned self-development coach, Roxie Nafousi. To close the evening was the group panel discussion which featured co-founder of 111SKIN, Eva Alexandridis and biohacking advocate, wellness educator and podcast host Coral Golding.

Guests were welcomed with bespoke functional drinks curated exclusively for the evening as well as a 111Skin Eye Mask bar. Hotel Café Royal created a Sipello Paloma Highball cocktail, as well as a custom Orange Ember mocktail which blended Glowwa’s new collagen creamer. As part of the dessert service, guests enjoyed custom mushroom lattes by Mother Made, the functional mushroom brand founded by renown model and entrepreneur Jessica Clarke, offering a calm, restorative close to the evening’s programme. Throughout the event, guests enjoyed a refined selection of seasonal canapés and desserts by Hotel Café Royal.

Set within the renovated Queensberry Room, the sold-out ticketed event brought together over 100 of The Modems’ readers, founders, medics, beauty insiders, journalists and cultural tastemakers to explore how science, technology and longevity are redefining modern beauty – from wearable health tech and supplements to mindset. Guests departed with curated luxury goodie bags designed to empower them on their longevity and tech journeys.
