Balenciaga just created the next It-bag with Bang & Olufsen

There are few things as good as those that store multiple features in one. And now, the world has seen a new bag that takes the two-in-one designation to a new level.

Have you ever heard of a handbag that also doubles as a speaker? Enter Balenciaga’s latest edition does just that. Unveiled in collaboration with the Danish audio brand Bang & Olufsen, the double-duty accessory is an exclusive take on technology and aesthetics and has already been christened ‘Beaker.’’

The unique bag is a collaboration between the fashion house, founded in Spain in 1919, and Danish Bang & Olufsen, known for its exclusive quality speakers and televisions.

While it may be hard to believe, in the portable speaker and bag, there is room to hold your most essential things for a day on the go, like your phone, purse, and keys. The speaker grill is situated at the front, while control buttons are positioned at the top of the bag. The gadget is Bluetooth-enabled for a wireless listening and carrying experience. Comprising a solid block of aluminum, the pearl-based, anodized, and hand-polished edition is made at Bang & Olufsen’s Denmark quarters.

It is limited to just 20 units and features the marquee’s logos. The bag comes in either inky black or silver-gray and marks yet another win for Balenciaga’s creative director Demna. It combines Bang & Olufsen’s futuristic vision with Balenciaga’s utilitarian vibe.

The speaker bag is available exclusively at the new Balenciaga Couture store at 10 Avenue George V in Paris.

There is no clear word on its pricing yet. However, we expect it to be tagged steeply for apparent reasons. Care to get yourself one of these?
