French startup Allergen Alert’s device made its debut at CES 2026. Allergen Alert is developing a portable, automated food allergen and gluten detector designed for everyday use-not in hospitals or factories, but in restaurants, school cafeterias, airplanes and hotel dining rooms.
The idea is simple, but the science is not. Often described as a “mini lab,” the device automates the entire testing process-sample in, result out-with no technical expertise required.
