You can now track exactly how your Reels are performing

Instagram has launched ‘Insights’ for Reels and Live Videos on the ‘Professional Dashboard’, which means you can now see essential data about the reach of your content.

These new features will help Instagram get up to speed with its main competitor in this space, TikTok, which already offers its users detailed analytics about the strength of their content. This is great news for influencers and small businesses who use these tools to prove the effectiveness of their videos.

“Based on feedback from creators and businesses, today we’re launching insights for Reels and Live.” Instagram explained in a statement on their website. “We have been inspired by the ways our community has embraced these content formats and want to make sure creators and businesses can understand how their content is performing.”

Before the changes were made, Reel creators could only view the standard metrics: views, likes and comments. Now, they will be able to access crucial data like Accounts Reached, Saves and Shares.

Instagram has pledged to continually update the Insights experience throughout 2021 to better meet the needs of creators and businesses.
