Vertu x Harrods: Natalie Salmon, Founder Of The Modems, Hosts Vertu’s Agent Q Reveal At Harrods

On Thursday 17 October, the world’s temple of luxury – Harrods in Knightsbridge – became the stage for a new chapter in mobile history. Vertu returned to its spiritual home to unveil Agent Q, the world’s first AI Agent Phone.

The day began with an elegant afternoon tea in The Georgian Restaurant followed by a private evening reception where leaders from fashion, technology, and media gathered to witness Vertu’s most ambitious launch to date. Guests included content creators and executives from Hello!, Harrods Magazine, Vogue Business, and GQ.

A Return to Harrods:

As Wiji Singh Gorwara, Vertu’s CEO of London & Europe, noted, “It is an honour to bring Vertu back to Harrods, a true homecoming for the brand in one of the world’s most prestigious retail destinations. This partnership represents not only a return, but a statement of Vertu’s enduring place in the luxury market.”

The launch marked more than a product reveal – it was a celebration of Vertu’s heritage in craftsmanship and British design, now fused with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

An Evening of Innovation and Intelligence:

The event opened with Natalie Salmon, founder of The Modems, welcoming guests to The Georgian. “Good evening, everyone,” she began. “What a brilliant crowd of innovators and visionaries to spend the evening with. If you’re wondering why they asked me to be up here, there are two reasons – the first is that Maya Jama wasn’t available,” she joked, “and the second is I’m a tech journalist and founder of The Modems.”

Natalie’s opening monologue set the tone – equal parts witty and informative – before she invited Wiji Singh Gorwara to the stage to introduce the star of the evening: Agent Q.

Meet Agent Q: The White Falcon

At the heart of the launch was the world’s first AI Agent Phone – a device that, as Gorwara put it, “delivers, not just connects.” Inspired by the rare White Falcon, Agent Q is hand-assembled from 320 components, wrapped in immaculate leather, and adorned with a gold-plated falcon-wing SIM chamber. It’s not just a phone – it’s a statement of craftsmanship.

What makes Agent Q revolutionary is its shift “from apps to agents.” Rather than tapping through applications, users speak their intent once – “Book me a trip to Tokyo, same standard as New York, and secure a table at Ryugin” – and the AI Agent does the rest.

The Vertu Productivity Suite

Powered by the Vertu Productivity Suite (VPS), Agent Q places dozens of specialised AI assistants inside the device – from finance and legal to travel and wellbeing – designed for entrepreneurs and executives who value time as their most precious luxury.

“Many of you in this room are founders or business owners, so you know – time isn’t just money; it’s the only non-renewable resource in the world,” Natalie remarked on stage. “So of course Vertu has been on a mission to give us back that precious resource.”

Luxury Meets Security

Agent Q balances beauty and intelligence with security – a core pillar for Vertu’s clientele. It features a hardware encryption chip, a triple-system architecture (Main, Secret, and Ghost modes), end-to-end encrypted communication, and a distributed data vault for ultimate privacy. As Gorwara emphasised: “True luxury is trusted security.”

The presentation concluded with Vertu’s Creative Director Mathis Drechou formally unveiling Agent Q to the room – a spotlight moment backed by music and a chorus of applause.

A New Era of Luxury Tech

As Natalie closed the evening, she summed up what the launch signified for a new generation of tech-savvy luxury consumers: “Tonight is about a brand that has always been, and continues to be ‘Just Different.’”

Guests left with signature Vertu gift bags which contained Vertu Earbuds.
