PinkPantheress Launches Pinterest Closet Drop With Her ‘Fancy’ Tartan Wardrobe

PinkPantheress is opening her closet to the internet – literally. The British pop sensation has launched her ‘Fancy Closet Drop’ on Pinterest, letting fans bid for pieces straight from her own wardrobe via eBay auctions.

The move blends music, fashion, and internet culture in a way only PinkPantheress could pull off. Known for her dreamy drum-and-bass beats and unapologetically Y2K style, she’s now giving her followers the chance to wear her world. “I’m selling some of my stuff❣️hehehe hope u like,” she teased on X.

Serving tartan realness and posing next to an oversized rose, PinkPantheress brings her garden-party energy indoors.

Her look carries the same nostalgic ease as her music – never overworked, never forced. Think tartan skirts, graphic tees, floral prints, and the handbags that went viral after her Reading & Leeds Festival 2022 performance.“We don’t want it to feel like an ironic stage persona,” her stylist Milena Agbaba told Vogue about PinkPantheress’ signature style.

PinkPantheress proves that even her phone case has main character energy, with blue butterflies giving peak Y2K vibes.

The Fancy Closet Drop isn’t the standard celebrity resale stunt. It’s curated through Pinterest, with each pin linked to a live eBay auction. The effect is both intimate and interactive – fans are browsing her board in real time while placing bids on her tartan staples or cheeky tees.

PinkPantheress also lets fans in on her wardrobe gems via the Pinterest shop, “I wore these mod/60s esque tartan tights to my Pryzm show, another fancy wardrobe staple!” she says of one of the pieces. “Brew who? I like to greet my guests with a fancy cuppa tartan tea, lots of milk and sugar, maybe even some toast. This is me on my tea break at Tiny Desk!,” she says of a tartan mug that later sold on eBay for £154.60.

For PinkPantheress, the collaboration is simply an extension of how she already interacts with her fans. “Gen Z artists are for sure rewriting the rulebook with music and fashion,” she told Complex. “My style is an extension of myself, so the Pinterest Thrift Shop drop felt like it just made sense. I can connect with my fans in a new way by giving them pieces that helped share my creative vision and that I’ve actually worn.”

Agbaba, who has carefully shaped the singer’s aesthetic to feel authentic rather than contrived, co-curated the pieces. According to Happy Magazine, they pulled looks spanning different stages of PinkPantheress’ career – from DIY T-shirts to high-fashion flourishes – while keeping her signature thrifty-meets-designer vibe intact.

And thrifting isn’t just a style choice. “Thrifting is about finding pieces that feel personal to me,” she said. “I love mixing vintage pieces with new pieces to figure out my own style. Also, it’s always a good shout to be sustainable. I love Pinterest because it makes it so much easier to discover cool pieces from my phone. I use it like it’s IG lol.”

Among the highlights: a custom Rose Murdoch tee nodding to her early days, and a Nik Bentel speaker bag that proves her playful streak. “I love keeping things playful. I love a cheeky moment here and there, even in my music sometimes. It’s important to me not to take things too seriously, otherwise I feel like life would be too stressful all the time lowkey,” she admitted.

Whether you’re hunting for a slice of nostalgia or just want a handbag with pop-star provenance, the drop is a love letter to plaid apparently. Fans are already eating it up online, affectionately dubbing her ‘PlaidPantheress’ for her obsession with tartan.

Relaxing in style, PinkPantheress shows how a second-hand statement piece can still scream high fashion.

And for anyone who misses out? There’s always the live experience. PinkPantheress brings her tartan, kitsch, and bass-heavy energy to Laneway Festival next year. Until then, her closet – and her Pinterest board – are wide open.
