Tesla has officially opened its round-the-clock retro-futuristic diner in Los Angeles, combining burgers, bots and battery charging in a way only Elon Musk could dream up. Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, the new Tesla Diner is serving up milkshakes and entertainment while doubling as the world’s largest urban Supercharger site.
This two-storey site is packed with over 250 dining seats and 80 V4 charging stations compatible with NACS electric vehicles. It’s not just a pit stop for a charge – it’s a full-on Tesla experience, complete with classic diner vibes, futuristic tech, and a side of self-promotion.

While charging, drivers can either dine in at the Skypad upstairs with views over the city, or get their food delivered straight to their car window. Meals can be ordered through the car’s touchscreen, naturally. Entertainment comes via two enormous 20-metre LED screens showing films and specials, which can also be streamed directly into the car using the Tesla Diner app. Welcome to the future of multitasking.
The menu takes inspiration from American diner classics, offering house-baked cinnamon rolls, breakfast tacos, fried chicken and waffles, Tesla burgers and plenty of milkshakes – all made from high-quality ingredients. You’re unlikely to leave hungry, or without a bit of retail therapy.

Limited-edition merchandise is on sale at the site too, including retro-style T-shirts, a restaurant trucker hat, Tesla sweets and even a 1:10 scale model of the Tesla Bot action figure, featuring over 40 components and 20 points of articulation. Because why not.

There’s also a green twist. The West Charging Site features a solar canopy designed to offset around 12 million kilograms of carbon dioxide each year. A more sustainable way to grab a burger while your car recharges? Not bad.

Elon Musk hinted that this is just the beginning. Posting on X, he said: “If our retro-futuristic diner turns out well, which I think it will, Tesla will establish these in major cities around the world, as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes. An island of good food, good vibes & entertainment, all while Supercharging!”
Tesla’s new diner is now open to the public at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard. Whether you’re a Tesla superfan or just a curious foodie, it’s part American nostalgia, part tech showroom and part climate-conscious pit stop – and yes, it’s open 24 hours a day.
