Audemars Piguet’s Latest Drop Isn’t A Watch.…. It’s Virtual Reality

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping inside a luxury watch, your time has come—literally. Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet has teamed up with tech whizzes Dreamscape Immersive to launch The House of Wonders, a virtual reality experience that redefines craftsmanship for the digital age. Think less ticking clocks, more mind-bending magic meets mechanical genius.

Following the success of their first VR escapade, The Clockwork Forest, the new experience invites small groups (just six at a time, very VIP) to don headsets and dive into the intricate world of haute horlogerie. Guided by a charming origami bird—yes, really—you’ll flit through AP’s hallowed workshops, unlocking the secrets behind those teeny-tiny, impossibly precise watch movements.

It’s not just a fly-on-the-wall moment either. “The House of Wonders” is fully interactive, meaning you’re not just watching the craftsmanship unfold—you’re part of it. Your avatar can engage with the story, explore the space, and even help create your own virtual masterpiece. No previous watch knowledge or steady hands required.

The experience spotlights the brilliant, often unsung, talent behind every Audemars Piguet timepiece. “This unique experience invites participants to step into the marvellous complexity of manufacturing miniature mechanical objects, shining a light on the numerous talented individuals involved in their conception,” say the team behind the project.

It’s a tech-meets-tradition approach that keeps Audemars Piguet at the cutting edge—not just of timekeeping, but storytelling. The blending of immersive media and luxury manufacturing opens a new chapter for watch fans, design lovers, and anyone who appreciates a bit of sci-fi flair with their Swiss precision.

If your curiosity’s been piqued (pun intended), you can catch The House of Wonders from 28 March at Dreamscape’s Geneva venue in Confédération Centre. It’ll then make its way to Audemars Piguet’s Manufacture des Saignoles in Le Locle and AP House Milan in April.

Whether you’re a horology head or just love a good techy day out, this is one immersive journey worth taking. No passport—or platinum watch—required.
