Nintendo has just dropped a teaser for an upcoming product, but it’s not what you might expect. Instead of the long-rumored Nintendo Switch 2, the gaming giant is teaming up with Lego to bring fans something nostalgic—a Lego version of the iconic Game Boy, set to launch in October 2025.

Announced via a joint Instagram reel from Lego and Nintendo of America, the teaser gives a glimpse of what’s to come, showing a black Lego piece shaped like a D-pad along with the Game Boy’s signature purple buttons, all falling into place like a scene from Tetris. The caption simply reads: “Build the classic Nintendo system in LEGO form. Coming October 2025.”

This latest collaboration isn’t out of the blue. Nintendo and Lego have a history of working together, bringing fans detailed builds like pixelated Mario sets, a Mario Kart-themed Lego set, and even a 2,600-piece replica of the original NES console, complete with a retro-style TV displaying a classic Super Mario Bros. level.

However, details about the new Game Boy Lego set are still under wraps. There’s no word yet on how many pieces it will contain, its price, or whether it will have any interactive features.
