Fashion has flirted with the metaverse, dabbled in AR dressing rooms, and tested AI-generated models – but now, it’s stepping into its boldest experiment yet: a fully immersive, AI-powered, instantly shoppable catwalk. And the brand leading this futuristic fashion coup? None other than Topshop, the British high-street titan with a cult millennial following and a new appetite for innovation.
The landmark show – billed as The World’s First AI-Driven Immersive, Shoppable Catwalk – is being created by THG Studios, the award-winning creative powerhouse, supported by PayPal as headline partner and Google Cloud as the event’s tech engine. Taking place on 26 February 2026 at THG’s cutting-edge Manchester studios, the spectacle is already certified by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA). In other words: history will officially be made.

Slouchy, sultry, effortlessly powerful – this chartreuse faux-fur coat moment stole the entire SS25 runway.

This experience – part retail theatre, part AI playground – invites guests to become co-creators of the show itself. Forget the passive runway format of seasons past. Instead the experience promises walks through immersive zones powered by Google Cloud, interacting with AI-generated models, exploring the “future of fulfilment,” and tapping to shop looks in real time. Every moment is engineered for discovery, interaction and, crucially, instant purchase.

Fashion meets the future. Topshop teases its world-first AI-driven immersive catwalk – a new frontier where style, tech and spectacle finally share the runway.
“Uniting with an iconic brand like Topshop is a statement of our ambition. In collaboration with a global leader in digital payments PayPal, we are creating a new global benchmark for fashion experiences, fusing physical and digital to build connections that matter,” explains Hannah Pym, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer at THG Ingenuity, “The future of fashion is being designed right here in Manchester, and this event is a testament to the creative and technological power of the North, proving that innovation is thriving outside traditional capitals.”

Cara Delevingne and Adwoa Aboah understood the assignment: corduroy, oxblood, off-duty luxury. Sitting front row at Topshop SS25, they delivered the kind of laid-back cool only supermodels can get away with.
Manchester – better known for its music and grit than glossy fashion productions – is steadily becoming the UK’s northern creative nerve centre. Positioned between London Fashion Week and the BRIT Awards, the timing deliberately spotlights the North West’s growing cultural influence.

Topshop’s New Era:
Topshop, once synonymous with Oxford Street queues and Kate Moss minidresses, is now stepping confidently into its next chapter. This event solidifies its place not only in British fashion heritage but in the digital-first fashion economy. In July the high-street stalwart tapped Cara Delevingne as the face of its bold new era. “Embodying the fearless spirit and distinctive style of the city she calls home; Cara brings her unmistakable energy and cross-cultural influence to this exciting new chapter,” said Topshop in a statement.

“Topshop has always stood at the forefront of British fashion, and we’re proud to be part of this groundbreaking moment in our industry,” explained Moses Rashid, Global Marketing Director for Topshop & Topman, “The World’s First AI-Driven Immersive, Shoppable Catwalk is more than a runway, it’s a reimagining of fashion’s future, where creativity meets technology and culture. We’re excited to be part of a movement that’s redefining how fashion is experienced, shared and shopped, and to be leading this new era from the heart of Manchester.”
This is Topshop leaning into its London-culture roots while embracing its role as a global digital tastemaker – the kind of brand that can host a world-first tech-fashion fusion and still deliver the perfect white tee.
For a generation raised on digital drop culture, TikTok fashion hauls, and hyper-personalised algorithms, a shoppable runway feels less like novelty and more like evolution. Every look? Shoppable.
Every moment? Data-powered.
Every attendee? A participant, not a spectator.
And with PayPal providing the payment backbone, the transition from “I want it” to “It’s on its way to me” is seamless.

Beyond fashion, this event creates a forum designed to unite industry leaders, creators, and technologists – a rare coming together of commerce, creativity and computation. THG Studios has hinted at additional partners yet to be announced, promising even more cross-industry firepower.

A lesson in power pastels: Topshop’s SS25 runway served up an aqua-tailored moment that proves colour can be corporate and cool. Paired with sheer burgundy socks and sculptural velvet millinery, this look summed up London’s new minimalist-with-an-edge energy.
The fashion show is no longer just a showcase – it’s a living laboratory for digital commerce. And with Topshop at the helm, the next era of fashion won’t just be seen. It will be clicked, interacted with, and instantly owned.
