Tech-infused beauty? Say less. Studio Halia and Parisian jewellery house Hugo Kreit have teamed up for ‘ALTER’, a three-piece collection that combines cutting-edge tech, boundary-pushing beauty, and futuristic design.
Think metallic textures, sculptural silhouettes, and AR-fueled self-expression—this isn’t your typical accessory drop.
“Renowned for their visionary and boundary-pushing work at the intersection of art and technology, STUDIO HALIA has cultivated their practice by collaborating with emerging creatives to meticulously research, design, and launch revolutionary creations. Their latest partnership unites them with the celebrated Parisian jewellery brand HUGO KREIT, founded by Hugo Kreit and Nordine Makhloufi.” said Wonderland in an official article from December 2024.
Jewellery, But Make It Smart
The ALTER collection isn’t just about looking pretty; it’s about bridging digital and physical worlds. Each piece—whether it’s the EarCuff, NeckCuff, or HeadBand—comes with an embedded NFC chip (Near-Field Communication.) This chip acts as a gateway to an augmented reality beauty experience housed in the Studio Halia App, where wearers can “craft their digital alter egos.”

Hugo Kreit, known for its signature organic, flowing shapes, has blended these retro-futuristic designs with modern tech for something truly next-level.
“Teaming up with Studio Halia was an exciting way to approach digital as a fundamental part of the equation. Together, we created a system where technology intersects with the body through the lens of beauty,” explained the label’s Co-Creative Directors, Hugo Kreit and Nordine Makhloufi, in a joint statement.

The AR Beauty Revolution
What makes ALTER extra cool is its collaboration with makeup artist and digital visionary Ana Takahashi. The MUA whose work has been featured on the covers of Vogue and Dazed is renown for pushing beauty boundaries, Ana helped develop an AR experience that allows wearers to “paint with lights and colours” in ways traditional makeup could never.

Studio Halia’s App give you access to an “Expression Designer” tool that allows you to customise and evolve your digital expression
“We created beauty looks that wouldn’t be easy to achieve with physical cosmetic products,” says Kreit and Makhloufi. “We painted with lights and colours in a way that could inspire the community to break boundaries of makeup and set new trends back in the physical world.”
In short? It’s self-expression without limits. Whether you’re showing off the pieces IRL or in your digital universe, ALTER lets you play with your look in completely customisable ways.
