I’m A Tech Writer: Here Are 5 Things I Predict Apple Could Be Releasing Tomorrow

Apple’s September event is basically the Met Gala of tech – only instead of red carpets, we get live streams, rumours, and an avalanche of shiny new gadgets. Tomorrow, the company is hosting its latest showcase, dubbed ‘awe dropping’ by CEO Tim Cook.

Beyond that teaser, Apple has stayed completely silent – but the internet, as always, has filled the void with leaks and speculation. Here’s what I predict could be unveiled tomorrow, based on Apple’s track record and all the insider chatter…

1. The iPhone 17 lineup (including the long-awaited Air)

This is a safe bet. Apple loves routine, and September has been iPhone season for over a decade. Expect the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max – plus a new addition: the iPhone 17 Air. Rumoured to be just 5.5mm thick, it could be Apple’s thinnest device yet. The trade-off? Lower battery life and possibly no USB-C port to keep it feather-light.

2. A bigger, bolder screen

Leaks suggest the standard iPhone 17 could jump from 6.1 to 6.3 inches, making it the same size as last year’s Pro. The Pro models may also debut a huge rectangular camera bump with a triangle of lenses – one of which is tipped to be a new 48-megapixel telephoto zoom. Apple’s A19 chip and liquid glass display on iOS 26 are also expected, making your app icons look like floating bubbles.

3. Apple Watch Series 11 (and maybe Ultra 3)

The Apple Watch has become a staple at these events, and this year looks no different. Analysts say the Series 11 could bring improved health monitoring and longer battery life. The Ultra 3 is rumoured to add emergency satellite messaging – perfect if you find yourself stranded without Wi-Fi.

4. AirPods Pro, round three

Yes, another update for your favourite lost-in-the-sofa tech. The third-generation AirPods Pro could include in-ear health features like heart-rate and temperature tracking. If true, this nudges Apple deeper into wellness tech territory, rivalling the likes of Oura and Whoop.

5. A sneak peek at the future

The most ambitious rumour? Apple’s first foldable device, reportedly coming in 2026. Don’t expect a full reveal just yet, but Apple might drop a hint. There’s also talk of a new 4K Apple TV, though that feels more wishlist than certainty.

The event starts at Apple Park, Cupertino, at 10am local time (6pm BST). You can stream it live on apple.com or via the Apple TV app.

Apple loves surprises – but one thing’s guaranteed: tomorrow, millions of us will be glued to our screens, waiting to see if the rumours were right.
